    Default io.file_first problems

    Okay, I finally figured out where to put file_first, and I save it there.

    However, when I launch the game, the initial loading screen comes up, then the whole game just closes. No error box. No anything.

    I launch the game again, and it works. But when the game closed it reset medieval2.preference.cfg. So my changes dont work.

    Any help?

    1. Guess you entered it wrongly.
    2. Make the file read-only after your changes

    [io]
    file_first = true

    [io]
    file_first = true

    copy this to your cfg file it shud work and if its an error put this line in you shortcut show_err

    looks like this C:\Games\MTW2-KD\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\Stainless_Steel_Kingdoms.bat show_err
    maybe it will help you and show wats making this happen

    show_err
    Don't think that will work for Med2, it was for Rome.

    There is a log in the Med2 folder: medieval2.system.log - open it with Notepad and have a look for lines with [error] in it. That should give you an idea.
