Will anyone still play hotseats?

I know of the new hotseats they have but i know i'm one of the only aussies that play hotseats so it would be hard for me to play in them.

So will anyone still play the hotseats like M2TW?

what!! will there be hotseat option in vanilla? info info info!! I was planning on hosting a lan parteh around the release date but as mp campaign wont be available untill few weeks/months after release I was hoping for hotseat as this should be possible to implement early in development of online/lan campaign. Info/link pls

I did not play hotseat as battles were all auto-resolved. Pointless really.

I have about a 10-20 turn attention span so hotseat is out UNLESS! turns are limited or turns are done simultaneously.

TBH i get bored as soon as i become a world power, i mainly play this game for the lower country struggle, it seems boring once you are able to churn out armies like there is no end and still make a considerable profit.

TriForceV will knock you guys around, get the forums on the multiplayer sub-froum (for M2TW kingdoms and mods) there is hotseats going. Destraex battles are not auto resolved were ever you got that idea i will never know.

The new Hotseat for empire will allow you to play the battles online (before the attacker fought the AI) so i have herd. Thought there was a thread on it here some where.

hotseat is offline only, as its played on one computer! In hotseat player vs player battles is fought between the attacking player and AI. But still the diplomatic part is very exciting in hotseat and players can sign real life treaties with each other and negotiate directly or secretly between turns Have tried this once with 4 friends playing england, wales, scotland, ireland and norway in the brittania campaign in kingdoms

Umm, there's going to be a multiplayer campaign beta after release. You don't have to hotseat anymore since you can play online in campaign and in battle with other players.

That's the problem, Steam most likely won't let me LAN without having multiple copies. I suppose the best we can hope for is a hotseat mod

I believe it will be similar to CIV - you can be both online and play/do battles if you are both online.

I love the hotseats. I have been backstabbed/backstabbed people many times - sometimes people take this conflict into reality.
