Good news I suppose.
@Chaghatai Khan
Isn't Turkmenistan some corrupt commie state?
Miss me yet?
This helps us out a little since Kyrgyzstan closed their bases to us recently, even though it is only non-military supplies. We'll take what we can get![]()
Ya that's why I brought it up. Even though it's not as good as the deal we had before, its better than nothing.
Also, who really cares if it's in Russia's sphere of influence. The whole "New Cold War" crap thrown around by the media is annoying theout of me. Have they gotten bored with the 10,000 other issues in the world right now that they have to create another one? Why can't the US and Russia cooperate over a mutual interest, such as battling Islamists and their backers? Russia and the US aren't geared towards hating one another. It's the old fat cats that still have a bone to pick with "those commie SOB's". Once the Cold Warriors die off, I think we will see US-Russia relations strengthen to a point. At least to where we can get along better.
well this new development doesn't mean that Islam Karimov is any less of a thug.
Although interestingly,he maintains strong diplomatic ties with Iran,dunno if that would be of help though....
And anyway isn't Uzbekistan still within Russia's sphere of influence?
Disastrous news: think of all those people -including me- who finally were able tolay their hands on stolen alcohol from the transports going through Khyber. Getting good beer or other stuff will be a real pain again.Good, now we can reduce number of supplies through Pakistan.

I'll give the Pentagon a call tonight. I am sure they are reasonable and open to any suggestion. many Pashtuns will be thankful also. God, they even had a home delivery service.Well complain and tell them they must move their alcohol shipments through Pakistan.
