Default Republican response to Obama's speech.

Let's listen in and see what the loyal opposition has to say.

Great speech I must say. I like Jindal, I hope he runs in 2012.

He was dead on when he said the Democrats are relying on the government to solve there problems.

Exactly right. I REALLY hope Jindal runs in 2012. He said he is not, but all politicians say that.

Read up on his policies. Don't like him.
The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected. The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State. - James Madison

As a rule, I refuse to listen to any politician's big "important" speech. Words are empty, cheap, and easy to make.

Man after my own heart. It's not like politicians actually tell the truth. I'd rather react to what they do than be let down when they don't do what they say.

    Take it easy,

Mediocre speech, didn't really like the message, let alone the delivery. It was incredibly embarrassing considering how good Obama's speech was mere moments before.

Your joking right? Obamas speech wasn't great, it was good either.

It was another fear mongering speech downgrading the economy.

Nope, didn't like Obama's speech either.

I never found Obama to be a particularly good public speaker.

I'm not talking about substance. I never talk about substance when I speak of Obama, because he has none. In terms of delivery though, as I said, Obama brought forth as usual eloquent, well pronounced, idiotic rhetoric. Jindal brought forth an almost equally idiotic message, only it was boring as hell.

you always make these statements without any backing it up. What made Obama's speech not great? Any particular reason or just because he's a Democrat?

I failed to detect any fear mongering.
