Increase camera zoom in battles

Is there any way to increase the camera zoom during battles. Right now, the camera only gets to about right above the heads of your troops. Is there a way to get it lower and more eye-leve?

Well how much do you need to zoom in? You can usually zoom in with the scroller of your mouse but not much more than that.

that is a hard-coded feature, but you can use the replay of a custom battle to go below the eye level and even the ground!

you can do this by using the cinematic editor, of which there is a stickied thread of. it's very complicated, though, so beware!
