Town/City rights
i was wondering....
isn't it unrealistic to have to wait 6 turns for the town/city rights ?
these things were given, in one day, so why in 3 (!) years?
i know it is for balancing, but i think you could also make them cost a little more!

Actually, I found that to be a realistic touch... 3 years representing the time all the population (remote villages, too) got used to new order...

Re: Town/City rights
You can even think of it as the requester (the regional noble overlord) needs a certain time to get the attention and good will of the king or sultan or whatever faction leader, incl. bowing in front of him several times having a determined structure gained in his governed provinces, and giving money and other subventions in whatever imaginable picture for the middleage
In this sense the building-time could be even increased, and yes, the cost could be increased, whereas the AI must "feel" that they are good buildings and not too expensive.
