Default Top 20 Economies in 2050

So i was wondering, which countries do you guys think will be the leading economies in 2050? Here's my list

    1)China-Large Population, Huge Country,Largely Literate,Good government,lots of economic potential)
2)USA-Large Population, still strong, although it has lost the superpower race to China
    3)India-Large Population,Huge Country,Young Population,Relatively Stable,Good Government,lots of potential.
4)Brazil-Same reasons as Russia, minus the "aging of Europe"
5)Russia-maybe, but when you take into account the "aging of Europe", as well as the fact that it's natural resources aren't everlasting (duh!), you have to be careful with this one.
    6)Japan
    7)South Korea
    8)Mexico
    9)Indonesia
    10)Germany
    11)Turkey
    12)France
    13)Vietnam
    14)Iran
    15)Pakistan
    16)Philippines
    17)Bangladesh
    18)Egypt
    19)Bangladesh
    20)Nigeria

P.S. I'm sort of in a hurry so i'll type in the rest of my reasons later

It's impossible to tell. Race to super power...China, India...these countries face way more problems than anything else. With the coming collapse of the world economy and trade, with a lack of oil [in 50 years it will likely all be gone] with mass pollution, political evolution...if you take all of these hundreds of variables into accounts, China's and India's future do not look rosey whatsoever. Mind you, no countries future looks rosey, but I just have severe doubts there will be a super power anymore.

True. Not to mention the fact that most researchers claim Russia and Brazil as pseudo-superpowers, without taking into account the fact that their natural resources(which got them into this status in the first place) aern't infinite, and that we WILL run out of oil, coal, etc eventually.

My Lord doesn't see China being number one or India being in the top three. China is very large, so large that it will have a hard time enforcing the crime and corruption that comes with having the world's top economy. India, on the other hand, does have potential, but India's current problems will still be an issue by 2050.

Then again, perhaps my Lord can turn those countries around when he is crowned the Emperor Of Earth (hopefully by 2014 at the latest).

2050? That's an eternity away. Anything can happen right now, you can't predict accurately.

China and India face major problems. Chief among them is lack of clean water for their large populations.

Their rapid industrialization has also had a really averse effect on their environment. Northern China is the most polluted area in the world, IIRC.

But that does not make a Super Power. A regional power perhaps, but not a super power.

LOL @ regional power, our only neighbor is the US, we don't have the power to patrol our own sea's (north west Passage) effectivly,

i would better call us a economic super power, all Canada needs is a Putin to fix our revenue system for our resources. We don't even have a state controlled energy company to make revenue. (petro-canada got privatized)

Currently Alberta gets most of the oil revenue, it should be going to federal government instead

Yea you do. But the question is who would you play oil politics with? The US buys tons of it, and in any case nothing it has done or will do in the foreseeable future will affect that.

The world would not be able to sustain India and China being developed like the west, not that i am a hater, but i kinda like status quo, or a reduction of resources used by the west to a lower more sustainable level.
