In Civlization if you have line of sight barbarians won't spawn in your area. I've been setting up watchtowers all over my lands in Medeval 2 and seems I'm getting hardly any Rebels. just wondering if this is true or my imagination?:hmmm:

Rebel armies always prefer to settle next to your watch towers. Maybe it could be the exact opposite of your idea...
E:TW's natives have developed a new "Ballistic Automatic Detection And Seeking System" to utterly annihilate any European that sets foot on their soil... That's BADASS for short!
You can foil them by building two watchtowers near eachother though. Despite being able to easily rally the people to their cause and raise an army against the cruel king, splitting their forces to control two objectives is beyond them.
Is it me or is every strategy in the game based on exploiting the AI's stupidity? :hmmm:
There is not a lot else you can do except exploit the AI. Why waste money on watchtowers? Just go out a destroy them.
Rebels make good target practice. There's no better way to up the experience of your new archers before they get into a real war.

Iirc, your line of sight does indeed protect you from rebels, wouldnt count with the toggle_fow cheat obviously.
