ChivTW: Victory and Defeat Short-Movies
Is there anybody out there who would have fun to create them for ChivTW?
We had this once as task within the development to-do list, but that never suceeded into something. Now it's time to have something properly in this area.
The maker must though be able to create this on his own, means, delivering a completed job. One sample before he makes them all is requested for a judgement, so i see the style which must be consistent for all of them.

what format do the movies have to be in?

In wmv format.
(If you know VI2, you could check there the folder calling fmv).

I forgot to mention: Those videos are organised via the file sm_factions.txt in the data folder. This file would get of course a reorganisation in the codes (what i'll do).
Another option to make the job small would be to have only 2-3 videos, culturewise: christian, muslim and pagan factions, means 3 x 2 = 6 different videos.
Much more nice would be of course one video per the 20 playable factions for the cases victory and defeat, but that would mean 20 x 2 = 40 different videos
A medium solution could be also:
1) 1 + 1 video for 7 factions: Norman-England, Denmark, East-Franks, Franks, Norman-Sicily, Castile, Aragon, Italians
2) 1 + 1 video for 3 factions: Bohemia, Poland, Hungaria
3) 1 + 1 video for 1 faction: Rus
4) 1 + 1 video for 2 faction: Romans (Byz) and Armenia
5) 1 + 1 video for 1 faction: Cumans
6) 1 + 1 video for 2 factions: Rum and Grand Seljuks
7) 1 + 1 video for 3 factions: Fatimids, Zirid Berber, Moors
= 7 different victory and 7 different defeat videos
.. whereas number 2, 3 and 5 could eventually fall together, so we would only 5 x 2 different videos = 10 different videos

i dunno, i think one Chiv intro (when you start up the game) and an intro vid for all the factions is nicer for a begin
