    Default UMS bug ?

    Hi here

I play DLV 6.1 (with the hotfix) as England in custom campaign.
I'm in year 1228 and cannot recruit any units for like 20 years now. I knew about the UMS and didnt care too much about it. But then i took 2 settlements (rennes and anger) and still my UMS is stuck. Even if i take new settlements i still cannot recruit any units.

As far as i remember i think it started after a crusade was called on Cordoba. I sent a full stack of spear militia (1 UMS ?) with Peasant Archers (1 UMS?) and several spearman pilgrims (dont remember the name sorry). So maybe those pilgrims counted as UMS (even if they shyould not) ? then this army got slaughtered at the gates of cordoba, so maybe the UMS didnt go down as it should have ?

Anyone got this problem ? Is there anyway to solve it ?

EDIT : my UMS is 150, and UPMS is 175. I have 10 towns/cities and 2 castles with only 2 or 3 max spear militia garrisoned. If i count the military points for each units i find something between 60 (counting spear militia as 1) and 90 UMS (counting spear militia as 3). i'm nowhere near 150 !! or does each familly member count as 3 ? (heavy cavalry)

    thanks !

been doing some more testing. deleted all my units, and giving away settlements, my UMS and Max. Mil. Size were still the same after severals turns ....
and i still couldnt recruit any units ...

    sucked.

So i started another campaign, ran through another bug, started a game as Byzantium and so far so good as of 1338.

    weird.

i play DLV 6.1 on clean install with no other mod (who would want to play something else than DLV ? )

I reamember a huge thread about this. Try to search, and if you find the thread, you will be enlightened!
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.
