You need to have the game unpacked, go to M2TW main directory, tools/unpacker and unpack it with that tool, but caution, you must not stop the unpack process. Once you have the game unpacked, go to Data and erase the files descr_geograhpy_new.txt and its .db.

I go to C:\Prpgram Files\Sega\Medieval II Total War in that folder i have:
data
logs
miles
packs
preferences
saves
temp

I do not have that folder tools, can you send a link of tutorial how to unpack the game .....

sounds like you need to update your game to v 1.2 or higher

Just in case you are still looking:

I had trouble with this, too. The reason I couldn't find it is because it was hidden. Run a search for expanded.txt and check "look for hidden files". You'll need to download the converter to translate the file into a .text file you can edit.
