Installed the game but it won't start

I patched my vanilla RTW to 1.3 then to 1.5 and then I installed EB 1.1 in the same folder.

I find that there is a shortcut in my RTW folder that says EB Single Player, so I click and then an error screen pops up telling me that the shortcut can't run because it's missing "EBTrivialScript.exe"

This happens every time I install it. I've installed and uninstalled both EB and RTW several times today and I still haven't gotten it to work. I even cleaned out every RTW related registry file in my computer and it still wouldn't work.

Can anyone help?

well it looks like your EB download was corrupt..can't really help other than saying find another download link and see if it works..

I know if you're running on vista and you have RTW set to run in compatibility mode but haven't set EB to run in compatibility mode as well it can lead to this error. Was the first thing I checked when I received the error and it worked just fine afterwards.

Well, here's the thing. I forgot to mention this, but I originally downloaded it and the exe ran fine but it kind of just got stuck on this loading screen. I thought I might have installed it wrong or put it in the wrong folder or something so I uninstalled it. I re-installed it and now it gives me this error about the EBTrivialScript.exe. Of course, I just read the FAQ and it said that the whole loading screen lag thing is apparently normal. So I don't think it was corrupt and if it was, I kind of doubt the installer would have even started. But, in any case I'm downloading it now. I downloaded it from the filefront mirror and I'm downloading it from there again. Would you recommend I choose a different mirror this time?

I'm running XP, so I don't think that's it. This really sucks. I wanna play this mod. It looks awesome.

If you got to the title screen than it worked perfectly.

Just have some patience. It can take a few minutes (even up to half an hour on very old PC's).
