And I decided I'm not going to piss off my Sicilian friend.
Its an awesome book that I'm really enjoying.

“The nation that will insist upon drawing a broad line of demarcation between the fighting man and the thinking man is liable to find its fighting done by fools and its thinking by cowards.”
—Sir William Francis Butler
Awesome, books are always so much better then the movies based off of them. Like LOTR and Jurassic Park for example.

R.I.P. God Save The King (2008-2013)
One of the fastest reads ever ( that's how good it is ). Lightweight, but very entertaining.
Not as good as the movie by any stretch of the imagination, nor would I rate it too highly, but it was entertaining while it lasted. Puzo's Omerta is far, far better than the Godfather. Arguably, so is The Sicilian.
I disagree with Shyam. The Godfather is undoubtedly Puzo's best work. I loved how Michael's exile in Sicily is carefully developed in the novel.
Proud Client of Obi Wan Asterix
I've read all of The Godfather novels about a year ago, they're great. I even read The Sicilian (and saw the film recently), even though it's not an official part of The Godfather series, it has some major characters in it, like Michael Corleone and Clemenza.
