    Default Gunpowder units...

What do you do with your gun powder units after the initial charge and the infantry have enganged each other? Sometimes I just let them sit there chillin', maybe turning them outwards if theres a unit trying to flank behind. Sometimes if I feel gutsy and the enemy's back is unguarded Ill slip them around the flanks and open fire from behind the enemy.

Im just kinda curious what everyone does with them when their religated to the position behind your own infantry where they can no longer fire.

Also does anyone ever have more than 2 or 3 units of musket units at once? Their natural formation is a very thin one, it creates a very long unit. Frankly I can usually only fit 2 units effectivly without exposing their flanks or rendering the two lines of men at the back of the formation pointless.

I love when the AI is acting dumb and I can just use 3 muskets without an army and engage A well armed veteren army fully stacked and DEMOLISH them because they won't charge! + Musketeers and arquas ive noticed have MORE ammo than actually needed for A battle NO MATTER WHAT!! :hmmm:
    [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Go Vikings!!!!

No one won A war by dieing for their country, They won it by making the other poor basterd die for his.

Yeah, two is plenty. You can't effectively protect more than that, especially if you're using the larger unit sizes. I usually just leave my musketeers/mortars behind my main troops and let them keep firing. If I feel they will cause too many friendly fire casualties, I'll order them to fire over the heads of my own infantry at the AI's ranged units.
