BNP what do you think??

I was reading the paper to day and it mentioned about an increase in the BNP and the governments fear that they were getting seats in the house of commons and lords. I can understand why people are going to them because of the BNP "promise" to get reed of foreign workers and replace them with British ones, that the global recession in Britain is all very similar to Germany in the 1930s. which I'm sure most of you know about, but my question is how much of a real threat are the BNP and could they ever be the main government of the united kingdom?? I would like to think the military would do a cue or the royal family would do something but who knows. also if they did come to power what would happen to Britain globally??

I don't think they will get in unless they keep on drifting to the more moderate side. They still hold on to a number of Neo-Nazi ideas, it seems. They will have a chance when they become liberal like the rest of the anti-Islamic, anti-immigration European Nationalist parties.

Facist and racist, perhaps. Stupid, perhaps not. They are one of the fastest, if not the fastest, growing political party in the UK. And with the major successess in the country's political capital... of Blackburn, I fear for the safety of this free land.

That is is the fastest growing party may be true, but that is because there aren't many of then. In fact,we know there are 12,000 listed contacts (we know where they live!) but some are lapsed members or merely contacts ratrher than activists.

My guess is once New Labour is ejected and if the Tories do what they did in the Thatcher years and woo the right-wing working class, support for the BNP will evaporate as it did with the National Front.

Odd thing is that the other two Nationalist parties in mainland Britain, the Scottish and the Welsh are very successful because they represent the interests of everyone within their borders, not just the holocaust-denying fringe.

The unions involved in the strikes told the BNP to leave them alone. the issue was with corporations using Eu posted worker regulations to bypass the UK workforce, not the presence of foreigners themselves. Gordon Brown's empty boast of British jobs for British workers was not helpful.

It is impossible for the BNP to gain seats in the Commons or Lords in the current situation.

The BNP do promise to give British jobs to British workers. But they intend to ethnically cleanse the British Isles in order to do this.

If they came to power and put their policies into practice it would almost certainly result in expulsion from the European Union and UN sanctions.
