Nubian spearmen vs Berber spearmen

I recently started a campaign with the Moors. Their unit roster is vastly different compared to the factions I've played so far, so I find it quite refreshing. I wonder about their spear infantry though. As far as I can see, Nubian spearmen are exactly the same as Berber spearmen, but the former need a higher tier barracks. Is there a seomthing I'm missing here? Or did they just run out of ideas while thinking up units? :hmmm:

I have'nt played Vanilla in a while {SS6.1} But I believe the BerBer's can form the porcupine defensive circle. I'm quite fond of the Moors as well....

Its proably because Nubians with armour upgrades look really cool and like a different unit, whilst Berbers get manky low-res armour.
