ETW Multiplayer

Hey all,


How many of you guys are going to try out ETW Multiplayer when it is first released? I know I will!

I will try single player first to get a feel of the game, and then try multiplayer ;P

I'm looking forward to play MP- but not from the first day on, for sure. Got to learn the new features and getting used to Line Infantry warfare first- guess the AI will have to suffer before I dare to play online (although I hope the new AI will put a stiff resistance )

Perhaps (I hope so!) there is even a chance of recreating 18th century warfare in a more realistic manner while playing online rather than relying on the ai performing plausibly looking 18th century battlefieldmaneuvers

--> Hope I wont face to many gamey tactics online- e.g. noob boxes

hmmmmm, I think I will finish a Grand-Campaign before going online, however (at my slow pace) by then everyone will be amazing!

I will first try some campaigns (offline) and I will play some custom battles (off- or online). After that I think a mix of online and offline.

You should try normal MP!


I think you guys should all play Normal MP, it's just as fun!

I'm not a big MP fan for strategy games. Chances are I wont try MP.

I will play the Road to Independance to learn the new features. Then a grand campaign to get the feel of everything, and im rdy to get online with some other fans!

There will be a multiplayer campaign beta feature too. Who wouldn't want to play something like that? It should have been in Total War games a long time ago!

Normal MP battles I probably won't play much but I have pestered a friend into getting ETW and I will be playing the multiplayer campaign with him when it comes out (doing it for Dawn of War 2 right now)

I try it out on the first day, unless my computer blows up in my face (only have 1 Gb RAM, everything's on low)

I'm pretty sure that there will NOT be a multiplayer CAMPAIGN when you but the game. You will have to download it later.

However, there WILL be multiplayer BATTLES like in previous total war games that comes with the game when you buy it.

Somebody correct me if I'm mistaken please.

I think that i had read somewhere that the MP campaign will at first be a beta when u buy it,, and u can only play as 1v1 but i dont know if thats correct well well,, im really exicted over the new MP mode.
