incredibly ignorant person needs help

I need to know step by step instructions on how to properly install stainless steel 6.1. I have tried on several occasions and nothing has happened i.e. no shortcut all I get is a bunch of EFW files in folders.

okay, so to start off with you need m2tw installed and kingdoms installed. then you download part 1 and 2 of ss6.0, and the 6.1 patch. then you double click on the file you dowloaded as part one of ss 6.0. an installer should pop up (you may have to wait a few minutes for it to pop up) follow the instructions in the installer. then repeat the process with part 2. then install the patch (i cant remmember exactly what you do here, it may be another installer or you may have to copy and past the files into m2tw/ss/data. that should be all you need to do

the patch? You click on it. Exact same process as the SS parts, except you get some choice as for which submods it installs.

Sry for the late reply, ran into the flu. Thank you for the answers turns out though that my security system is converting all those files into worthless EFW files . Luckily the comp i am using is about to be wiped clean and i will simply install this before setting up the security system.
