A Question that's been bugging me for Years

I'm hoping this topic isn't taken as a racial jab, its just a personal curiosity.

White men came to this country (the grand ol' USA) with guns and smallpox in hand.

Why are White Americans (in rural settings at least) so brutally xenophobic to immigration that they area against Mexicans coming into this country by jumping a simple border? If White men with guns created this beautiful country of ours, what harm can a little brown man with a shovel and garden hose to do our nation?

I know I seem to be belittling the issue of illegal immigration, but I tend to think of the word HYPOCRISY in a very serious way as well, even though this context isn't befitting of all White Americans, but most don't distinguish each other into ethnic brackets of any kind in the first place.

Illegal Immigration causes a strain on the system, brings crime and is uncontrolled immigration. Uncontrolled immigration taxes the resources of a nation and leads to major issues.

Illegal. When whites arrived in America, there were no internationally recognized borders etc. Obviously, the Native Americans were wronged time and time again. However, like Farnan said most people could care less if someone from Mexico, Africa, Asia come to the US. They just want them to do it legally. Also, the US is in a position of power, the Native Americans weren't. It's a pretty common theme throughout history.

Um from 1980 to president 75% of all casualties (male) in military are white and whites make up the rather big majority of personal and new recruits. So your claim is nonsense.

As of August 2008 74.8% of military deaths in Iraq have been of whites. Latinos 10.7%, blacks 9.5%.

In Afghanistan it is 79% whites dead.

In terms of deaths, whites are overrepresented when compared to the general population.

As a matter of fact illegal immigration is way down recently, with the bad economy there aren't as many jobs to be had.

Do me a favor, and look up the word "conquer" in the dictionary. Perhaps, if the native population would have been a little more "xenophobic" to what in there eyes was illegal immigration, things might have turned out differently. It's ridiculous to compare American expansion to illegal immigration, because they are two diffrent subjects. Do you want to discuss the ethics involved in Manifest Destiny? That's cool, we can do that. Would you prefer a debate on illegal immigration? That's also fine. But to combine the two is logically impossible.
