    Hello people.
I'm currently playing as the Turks, and its about turn 95. I have already won and I own the entire middle east and all of central+southern Europe. I'm at war with everybody save the French and the Scots, thanks to a pointless crusade the Pope called against one of my unimportant border settlements.
The Mongols invaded a while back, and captured Antioch the second time they sieged it. They took heavy casualties though, so I took it back the next turn. This triggered the 'A people in flight' event. I thought that this event would make new stacks appear or something, but all it did was scatter the existing stacks all over the place. Unfortunately though they have now all grouped together into a large, slow-moving mass. They won't split up and attack other cities, they are obsessed with taking Antioch.

So now I am stuck with an unstoppable pile of Mongols knocking around. I'm worried about the plague and the Timurids coming, so I want to disband the huge armies I have that aren't seeing any action to get money. But I can't because of those annoying Mongols that take decades to attack because they want to stay in one single mass. Is there any way to exterminate these pests?

You are talking about the Mongols here right??

Then wait for them on bridges with alot of archers, artillery and good defensive units to defend them and you should be fine.

The other way is to let them siege you, don't take them in the open as they will definatly destroy your armies

Problem is that they aren't headed for a bridge. They are coming up through the mountain pass to the south. It is defended by a fort, but I doubt it can hold them off.

My problems aren't with beating them. They only have a limited number of men and will run out eventually. I just don't want to be keeping massive armies around when the plague begins. I heard it gets quite nasty, and that the Timurids will come soon after.
Hopefully conquering the rest of western Europe will reduce their threat to me though. I just finished crushing the main resistance in Germany, Denmark and Poland, carving a way to the Baltic sea in the process. Now I must kill England and France.

The plague will only affect your cities and your economy so be sure to have spare florins and you should be ok

Like Rebel6666 said, armies in the field (that haven't had ANY contact at all with plagued characters or cities) will not suffer from the plague. Just be sure the leader (be it captain or general) is not a plague bearer.
E:TW's natives have developed a new "Ballistic Automatic Detection And Seeking System" to utterly annihilate any European that sets foot on their soil... That's BADASS for short!

Call me a bad roleplayer, but I reckon a good way to deal with them is to amass as many high powered armies as you can, and make them into a massive hoard, have as many good generals as you can muster to lead them, have them all reinforce eachother, and just auto-resolve it.

You might not destroy them, but doing that a few times is sure to wittle their numbers severely.

I've had it up to the teeth with going through the same Mongol every single game.

If it were me, I'd muster the finest army I could fit into a single stack and charge gallantly into battle fighting to the death. But thats just because I like a nice grandiose overwhelming battle.
