Heroic Victories

Alright, so what all happens when you get a heroic victory.

II mean, I heard in RTW you got like, heroic victory markers. What do you get in M2TW. Ive gotten tons of Heroics but all ive gained was a smashed enemy and a few command stars...

are there any markers cause if so Im not seeing them.

I am pretty sure that a little crossed swords will show up on the campaign map and when you mouse over it reads something like, "Site of a famous battle (name of winner and faction and the name of loser and faction)"

The other bonus to a heroic victory is the knowledge that you pulled off one hell of a victory and should be patting yourself real hard on the back, and probably retraining some men.

Yeah, there are 2 crossed swords at the battle site. When you mouse over it, a message comes up saying the name of the Commanders, what country they were from and who won.

Yup, though actually getting a heroic victory can be too easy and too hard sometimes. For instance if an AI sends a stack to attack your 3/4 stack and you win (because the AI is retarded) if you didn't lose many men (and you shouldn't have unless your army sucked) you will get that heroic victory. However if you fight 4 enemy stacks in a battle with just one, and you emerge victorious with just a few men left, you get a clear victory. The system is just based on numbers, to me how the comp classifies a victory or defeat means nothing to me, i know when a victory is heroic in my heart !

That's about it. I had situations in which I fought a hell of a fight, warding of all hell's army and was rewarded with something like "clear" victory. Now I'm playing with Nowgorod on VH/VH and are getting a bit too used to heroic victories, for slaughtering slow-marching knights by distance or smash untrained militas isn't that much of a challenge.

hmm... then why do I not see these swords after my battles??? I had a few unreal battles taking Spain but Ive got no recognition for it... and yes, they were classified as heroic victories.

Maybe you fought that battles all at the same spot and now crossed-swords are stacked on another at that specific space in the dozens.

No, they should be in a straight line to there capitale, Granada or w/e as I marched through their stacks to get there only to find they had no actual garrison in the City, just seven stacks walking around the territory.
