Is this a Bug? AI reinforcements.

I'm in the middle of a life and death struggle with the Timmys, and have noticed something pretty fatal to my chances of survival.

When the AI gets reinforcements, they appear on the Battle map at the start of the battle. It was my 1 and a bit stack against the Computers 3.

All 3 AI stacks began to advance at the same time. 3 full Timmy stacks all entered the battlefield at the sametime, of course my reinforcements had to wait until units began to rout before they could enter the fray (which didn't take long).

Now is this normal? have I just not noticed it?
I have to say it was bloody impressive, they covered at least half the map, my army looked dwarfed beside them!

Yes it's normal, you could also have some yourself, Having two armies close to each will enable this.... Another thing you also can be helped in the same way while your army is standing close to a ally stack...

How is that? my reinforcements seem to spawn in any old place, I dont seem to have any choice where they arrive?

If I have a full stack at the start of the battle my reinforcements never enter the battle until a units routs, and then they they enter on a one in one out basis.
The Timmys dont seem to have this problem as there reinforcements are in play at the start of the battle, they had about 50 units attacking me at once!

That's because you decided to control the reinforcements yourself, remember that you can only contorl 20 units per battle.

Tip the box that says IA reinforcements or somenthing like that in the battle menu before you start and the IA would lead your reinforcements while you lead the main army.

All battles I played in my long time on total war the AI's reinforcements are all ready their but my reinforcements come a bit into the battle. So this is normal not a bug

Ah thanks guys, I stopped ticking the AI reinforcements box many moons ago, due to the fact the AI likes to go on those death or glory rides and get my men killed!

Well that makes sense anyway.
