Authority always dropping to 3

Hey there

I just started on Stainless Steel 6.1 + bgr3 + RR and something I noticed so far is that my kings authority always get set to 3, no matter how high it should be. I always do the math counting their traits and retinue where most of them should have a much higher authority than that, in some cases even 8+.

I have tried several of the fixes and updates to both Stainless Steel and the submods, started new campaigns, but this still keeps happening. Is this a bug/glitch or a game feature Im not aware of? If so, could someone explain it to me? I have searched the forums for quite a bit but only found old posts which didnt help at all.

Counting up traits & ancillaries to get a family member's stats will never tally properly because SS has hidden traits that will lower the stats to make the game harder. Whether this applies to authority or not I can't say for certain :hmmm:

I had similar problems with Authority. My king had full authority and one turn later his authority was changed to 0.
The problem seems to be related to the Supply mod. Install the SS6.1 patch and remove the Supply mod.

Alright, this does indeed seem to be related to the supply mod, removing it has fixed the issue, BUT I have really enjoyed Byg's mod and would like to continue playing with it. Any other ideas?

Start the 6.1 install, remove the addons, and install the 6.2 RR-RC/SSTC/BYGIV/etc compilation and the 1/17/09 patch. I have had no authoriy issues yet.

BYGIV has many new features in it that may take some getting used to. Read the pdf manuals that come with it for help.

6.2 RR-RC/SSTC/BYGIV/etc is stable to try? I saw BYGIV, looked good but seemed being tested yet.

Hmm same problem with BGRIV.

Weird, my Faction Leader's Authority always maxes out over time no matter what I do with him.

Ok just found out, apparently this is a feature from BGR. Basically theres this hidden SuppressAuthority trait which forces down your FLs authority to 3, until you reach at least 11 authority via traits, then it goes to 4, 5 for 12, etc. At least thats what I understood.
