Default Karachi and the fight against the Taliban

Lets all congratulate the MQM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MQM) for their fight agaianst the real villans in Pakistan, not the corrupt leaders which also are a problem, but the bigger issue which is the Afghan people and the Talibanization they bring.

There are the Pashtun people, who like the Afghan who have flooded into Karachi, a place of my and my wife's birth and current residence, who have brought their corrupt Talibanization laws into Karachi which is one of the biggest and most developed of the cities in Pakistan. Here most of the non-tribal women wear jeans, are western in appearance and many, many go out to the west for studies.

These "mordern" people are the immigrants who certainly gave up more than any Punjabi, Sindhi and other tribal people, in coming to Pakistan from india. Till the 1950's Pakistan was going on in the right tracks by these educated and accomplished people who sought to improve Pakistan's image and its technology. However, these tribal people came and took over because they were marginalized and they fled from the government to Karachi, hence the reason why Mujahirs were only found in educated and prospourus parts of Karachi.

Now since Karachi was one of the stabler cities of Pakistan these talibanized tribe and uneducated tribes have set up shop here trying to remove the educated masses and turn into thier Pashtun fantasy of Taliban. However groups like the MQM are succeeding in driving them out of Karachi and hopefully back into the north were they belong.

These talibanization hurt not only our women but our businesses and our way of life. The MQM has done a great deal agaianst Talibanization to the point where it is fought in the local level with battles going on to protect the people from Talibanization.

Of course as usual detractors have appeared who claimed that the MQM is a group of thugs, which might or might not be true, but as an Urdu speaking member of the group who's grandfather and all of his family migrated to Pakistan, it is the only way to protect our livestyle from these sort of people.

What needs to be done, if anyone is interested, is that the MQM should be given a free hand to clean up these slums of Talibanized people like the Pashtuns and drive them off. Most of the poorer districts have peopl ewho aren't even from Sindh, who have 20 children and then induct them into the Taliban school and these people make Karachi look bad.

So here is to you MQM for cleaning the streets and my fair city Karachi from people and Talibanization!

No I'm saying that us Mujahirs are the most westernized bunch of people from Pakistan and that it is us who further study abroad. What has happened is that tribal elements such as the Punjabis and Sindhis have marginalized us, cause Pakistan was created for us, and thus tranished the image of Pakistan by allowing Talibanization to go through.

Thats why I congratulated the MQM for fighting.

Now, what about all those Pakistani's living there before the split between India and pakistan. No wonder the marginalized Pashtuns have radicalized. Pakistan wasn't made for one group in particular. What has gotten into you Sultan?

Well this is good...but the i don't trust the MQM. Not all of the Pashtuns in Karachi are bad, i think the MQM is not only doing this because of the talibanization, but because they don't like pashtuns. O well, what Pakistan should have done in the first place was follow Iran. They didn't let in any of these barbaric afghans, and turned them all away at the border. We let them come in, and for that we will pay the price.

Certainly, I'm not more a fool to entirely support the MQM. They are battling the taliban and their adgenda of Talibanization so I'm supporting them. Were there no Taliban nor the threat of talibanization to Pakistan, I would be against them.

My Lord sees the Taliban as a group that should have been eliminated years ago. But my Lord will do nothing to stop the conflict, in fact, he may play his hand to continue the fighting. The more you Humans kill each other the easier it will be for my Lord to take over this planet.
