    Default The religion of peace.

Yusuf al- Qaradawi, the leader of the European fatwa council praises Hitler, says the holocaust were gods divine punishment for Jews being so corrupted, and hopes the next holocaust comes by the hands of muslims.

The 'religion of peace' once again shows its true and ugly form. The sad thing is Yosuf is considered to be a moderate. It seems the Turkish prime minster was right when he sais the following words

These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it

I have no doubt all the muslims on these boards will rush to throw smokescreens and act like apologists, but for those of you still on the fence, pay attention.

Humanists in Norway has been attacking (verbally) the Islamic council of Norway for years because they refused to denounce the killing of gays. This thing with Yusuf al- Qaradawi blew up in their faces and now they are pretending to disagree.

I wouldnt be fooled if I were you.

It's not. He is considered a moderate, compare him with the rest and it might not seem so strange.

By the way the BNP has recently distributed holocaust denial material aimed at schoolchildren, could you also post a big picture of Nick Griffin?
They are just as much of douche bags as the European fatwa council. what is it with you apologists, do you have to defend bigots all the time by referring to other equally bigoted people?

The BNP is known for their intolerance, why do you even mention the BNP? Does it in any way refute the bigotry of the Islamic council?

    @OP

Religions don't drive people to violence. They may be used as political tools in order to achieve violent ends, but It's not like atheism has a clean slate either.

People are the problem, not any particular religion. I would even put forward the hypothetical idea that the situation in the middle east would be exactly the same with another religion in the place of Islam. It's just being used for individuals corrupt ends.

People will always have reasons to mess with each other regardless of religion. It's called human nature, and like it or not, it is responsible for most of the violence the world has seen. Religion has at most been a vehicle for achieving peoples selfish ends, and they would have found another vehicle if that was not available.

Just my 2cents. Take it easy,

I am puzzled as to why you are telling us that an extremist is ...er...extremist.

The man supports suicide bombing in Palestine and attacks on coalition troops. He is officially banned in at least two countires, the US and UK. How on Earth can he be said to be moderate!!? Your assertion is not enough.

He was very popular in the Terms of election for the position hes currently in... and was described as a moderate. I'll see if I can find a link in English.

edit : Ok ,lets discard the idea of him being a moderate for a second. What does it tell you, that the leader of the European fatwa council is a madman?

Well that's that then he is not only an extremist, but a trained terrorist to boot. I presume that Haakon's idea of "moderate" differs from the rest of the planet.

Well do some research next time. This is one Muslim you could have truly labeled as an extremist, and you fluffed it . For someone with your views, that is truly one epic fail.

Of other nations are soft, so what, he should be judged by his actions, that is he is an extremist. You have an issue with that?
