    Default Acquisition of the cities...

Am I only person who experiences easy and cheap city purchases in the game?
In my latest Sicily game I had acquired Bologna from HRE for 20000, Ancona from Venice for 40000 and Algier from Moors for 20000 gold. I am only in 50th turn.

    Something wrong with my game?

PS. In my other campaigns also I was very successful in acquiring the cities...

    I don't believe it's supposed to be cheap to buy a city's loyalty... :S

You are correct, I have been able to offer similar sums of gold in exchange for cities. But I try to refrain from it.
Any community that gets its laughs by pretending to be idiots will eventually be flooded by actual idiots who mistakenly believe that they are in good company.

yes, I agree. You can usually get a city for less than 15 turns worth of that same cities income it seems. The only exception is AI almost never parts with territories if it doesnt have at least 8 of them.

No, those sums seem about right. Anything over 40k, and you're probably getting ripped off. I've bough a settlement for 7000 florins to be paid over 7 years before.

    Try the 6.2 patch.

The AI seems to outright REFUSE to give you a city under ANY circumstances. I have perfect relations with Scotland, they're my Vassal, my reputation is at Trustworthy, and they refused Gaza, Jersalem & 100k florins for Aberdeen.
