    Icon10 Unit spacing.

    Hi!

I am not sure if this is the right place to write about it, but is there any way to change the spacing between units in formations? For example, when I select multiple units and press one line formation it creates a space between units. And I want that off. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes it can be done. Problem is I don't know how, but it's somewhere in desc_formations. I haven't messed with it ever, but you can probably figure it out.

EDIT: " inter_unit_spacing 2.0" Perhaps that's what you want to mess with.

That's not it. I set the value to zero, but it does no effect.

Disregard unit_formations altogether. Unit spacing is described in export_descr_unit.txt. Read the opening comments in that file to know more.

But he means spacing between two different units when you put them in a line (like formation 1). Not within the unit. I don't see anything in the EDU that controls that.

Whops, missed that. descr_formations should be it then...

You could give them shield wall. When you draw your units in a line they will be flush.

No, I don't want that shield wall. Check out MADTAO's mod. I think there was no space between units in his mod. I asked him about it, be he have'nt answered yet.
