    Default Famous DLV

    Hello DLVers!
I have been a visitor of this subforum for almost a year, but the last few days I feel that it is getting really... FAMOUS!
New releases, many mini-mods, very much hard work from many of the DLVers and more, more, more visitors and new members!
Is it my idea or do you feel the same?
A mini-mod is never late! Nor is it ever early. It arrives precisely when I mean it to do!

I think you are right. The mod is starting to get the attention it deserves! And many members are stepping up and making the board a better place.

Unfortunately, this has caused my DLV addiction to get worse!

Nah... Let's be friendly with our Stainless Steel cousins - we all love M2TW afterall: the one true religion (until Empire's release that is - he heheh...)

Fame is over-rated, I think if you have mass appeal you're doing something badly wrong. But then I'm hardcore

Not necessarily true... look at cheese. And bacon.

True wisdom is less presuming than folly. The wise man doubteth often, and changeth his mind; the fool is obstinate, and doubteth not; he knoweth all things but his own ignorance. --- Pharaoh Akhenaten,

I usually think same way as Taiji. Too much attention, too mainstream.

Propably it reflects from my music taste.

For me, other mod is either eye-candy or not complete.

~Once you go DLV, you never go back.
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Everyone needs a hobby! Just about all of us here do this for fun rather than the money. The profit is in the quality ever-evolving mod to enjoy and participate in. As for fame, awards and such for this mod - Repman plays it right - just ignore all that crap and just do it.

All the attention is very healthy for the mod. With all the DLVopment going on, there is always something new, week after week. I doubt that Empire will have as great an impact as people think, because it's bound to have a lot of initial skepticism, bugs, and grumbling about Steam, etc.

Tokus, your sigs are definitely responsible for some of DLV's increased visibility and popularity. Thank you for your hard work

I had to go to rehab for my DLV addiction. I spent hundreds of £££ on it... this forum scares me now... I can hear the game calling me back... with new updates...

    I actually hate DLV.

I have tens of new games on my shelves just because I install them, play a couple of hours and then go back to my old personal addiction, spending endless nights trying to carve myself a nice empire.

It is indeed pretty pathetic. My wife keeps on asking why the do you keep on buying games? Damn it, I don't have a hint of a reasonable answer.

DLV has made an slave out of me. I hate DLV for it.
