So "Vici" is pronounced like "Wiki", but with a longer "i"? Sounds a bit weird, and I'm sure all of the Latin teachers in my town don't know that.

    not like...Wikipedia. Like weekee.

It's classical latin, if they don't know that, then they're in trouble.

Not really. I don't think it's a problem, since my geography teacher said the Celts are... Germans...

Some pronounciation (for questions asked and any future questions)

C is hard (as in cake)
V is pronounced as a w (as in word)
S is pronounced like snake, never like a z.
G is hard (as in goat)
    Roll your R's.

And if you're concerned with how to pronounce your vowells, look for long marks. My teacher stresses this a lot. Over some words (like words in the ablative case) there should be little long marks over the vowells, demonstrating that they should be pronounced with the long vowell sound.

and don't forget that Gn is a nasal sound like in campaign

which is why the name Gnaeus scares every early Latin student

You guys realise that you do not require the verb last, as word order doesn't matter in Latin, and that putting the verb last is something done by Latin teachers attempting to make Latin simple.

sorry to revive the thread, but I had to.

I just did my Latin exam, terrible stuff. I mean plenae hominibus, it's not partative genitive and I don't know what it is.

Its's genitive dependent on an adjective. The genitive case is used with certain adjectives and plenus is one of them.

e.g. plenus hominum - full of people.
