Could someone here possibly tell me how i write/say " I came, I saw, And i could not belive what i saw" in latin

I think that would be a posibility to say it with quite few words:

veni, vidi, et videtum non credidi (You can leave out the "et", then it's closer to the original veni, vidi, vici)

I would translate this as "Hannibal, the son of Hamil called Barca and the first of the Carthaginians does something in the Sicily war."

I took 2 years of Latin and I understand the basics, but basically I quit because it was too freaking boring. :laughing:

Manuel I... I think, speaking from experience, regular lessons never work on this forum as people just cannot make the times. The best thing would be posting followed by some sort of exam on it within a set time period... say you post a lesson, and people reply to you within a set period

I've thought of that, but it's not of great use if there's nearly no interest. And up to now you seem to be the only one. Perhaps I'll just start and see how it developes.
But it will have to wait for a few days cause I have an important exam tomorrow followed by the begin of the new term this week. And to make things worse I'm currently suffering from some really bad cold.

Hi I have been following this thread quite closely.
I am writing all this in a book and studying... So I would be glad if you could continue with the classes of latin
And its quite true that its very similar to those languages, My native language is spanish and there are a lot of similar words. Like the amare form. Its almost like amar in spanish.
Right now I have a lot of time in my hands 'til my exams on 19 of december.
Well I hope more people get into the learning of the root language, Iam quite sad that most people are leaving latin behind, after all its the mother of all languages....

Latin is a good basis for most other languages. The only thing I really struggle with is with the vocabularium. Not so much with the nouns/adjectives/plain verbes, but I do really sometimes have problems with the endless tides of adverbs or basically everything similar to "quo... or qua... or quiquaquo..." and verbes with tons of variations (proferre, perferre, ...).
