i seem to be running into some troulbles when i try and down load this mod. i run on a windows vista. and after i try and download im getting an application which wants me to download some expansion, should i exept this, and how will i know once i have done this properly and it is functional, or have i done it right and just dont understand the instructions?

Hi madinsaneweasel and welcome to our forums. Any questions feel free ok

-The application that should be downloaded is RIOS_IBFD_BRG_II_EXPANSIOR

1- clean 1.6 bi. installation
2- Within the rtw folder copy the bi folder and change the copied bi folder to rio
3- installer- Install RIO'S IBFD BRG II EXPANSION

Your installer is set ton install:
C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War"

Any change to the installation patch will require the same installation patch change to the short cut launcher icon

thank you for the warm welcome. i have actualy managed to get RIOS_IBFD_BRG_II_EXPANSIOR with some effort, but now when ever i try and open it, it wants to download another mod. i have tried accepting this download and after if "installs" nothing happens, i also cannot find the files previously mentioned in the original instalation. but i did get to try the mod with my cousin's lap top and it was awsome, really top stuff your doing there.

I hope I don't confuse you further but Filefront(the installer upload link)is no longer. This may have been a reason for the issue you were having?The site suspended the use of any further usage. I have another upload site on Megaupload but its not in an installer format. It's a little more complicated to download the files over your rio folder for you have to unzip the download first. I'm uploading the installer to Megaupload and maybe another site today sometime so if you want you can try to download it from there. -Also dont forget the options folder (it holds the 4 turn per year scripts and alternate faction campaigns) and Ihatemmondays soundmod. Make sure the options folder and Ihatemondays soundmod are for the mod switcher and not the RaR version. The Mod Switcher and RaR versions are formated differently.

Yeah its works first, but when i started a campain the game quit's.
then i reinstalled it.

Yes something(a file) has been changed...possibly by another mod .after installing it does it work now? If not are you getting an error message?
