Well I finally got it to work. Thanks! BTW, I was surprised that my saved games were still available. However, to my surprise in my saved game some of the provinces were shown to belong to the wrong faction on the master map in the lower left corner. However, they were correct on the large actual map. Strange but otherwise it worked OK
Thanks again rio for reskinning and all of the rebalancing. The Franks/Visigoths/Burgundii/Soissons are all much better balanced now. I intend to try a proper WRE campaign (last time got a little too tedious because it was way too tricky to keep enough defensive troops and take and consolidate new provinces) too. I want to try ERE/Sassanids/Slavs more too, eventually (less time for this now sadly and even less when ETW is released). You ought to be proud of yourself, Rio

I'm almost satisfied with it.,..It can be deceiving(having income) a lot comes at you much quicker now
..good decisions have to made with econ development and army selection Thanks seriousbusiness for all your very valuable input and continued interest in the mod..
Thanks Templar Knight
Let me know how things are in your campaign. Very curious..Their should be a handful of powerful factions to deal with..a realistic intensity![]()

well right now i am mainly building up my economy but every so often i do the "toggle_fow" cheat to see how things are going, and well the Saxons control almost all of Britain, the Franks are becoming a power house by taking over norther germany and gaul, and the Visigoths have nearly taken over all of Iberia. Thanks Templar Knight

Is there any chance you could sort out the Family tree for the WRE?
It drives me up the wall having family members not on the family tree.
My answer is usually to go on suicide missions with family members not shown on the aforementioned tree.
I can't do that to Ricimer!
What happens with the titles like magister illyria etc? They still in the game?
I just realized why the map seems bigger to me is coz i'm used to playing PE and EXRM where the map extends to India.
The Sassanids look nasty in the east! Their heavy cavalry looks tough to beat.
The Bulgars look pretty tasty too!
Whats up with the Huns in 463? Are they the WRE of the barbarian factions?
Can I horde if I let all my cities rebel as any of the Barbarian faction as opposed to having my cities taken from me?
Hi Sardaukar One
-Magister Militum per Illyricum is in there
- The Huns of 463AD are meant to be so dissipated. The Bulgar's and Slavs are meant to to be the new emerging powers in that region. Under a humane player its possible to rebuild an empire but under the AI they are ment to be over run. They cant horde.

Not exactly sure wat you mean
currently as:
relative Libius Servius, Metella, Illus Servius, end
if Libius Servius dies and his son is not of age then the crown will be usurped by the master of the soldiers
Alternate families as such..It is t represent the fall of the WRE Emperor status that results in the eventual take over by Odoacer.
alternate families:
relative Ricimer Flavius, Alypia, end
relative Julius Nepos, Gratidia, Vibius Nepos, end
relative Orestes Flavius, Antonia, Romulus Flavius, end
relative Odacer, Mucia, end
Titles or ancillaries can be passed on to sons or anyone else you want. You need too be in the same province and together in the same army(as I remember correctly)..just an drag and drop the ancillary from one to the other...unfortunately you taking it from him when he is alive.
When it comes to traits getting passed on I think there is a certain percent(I'm not sure exactly what that is but I'll check ) you have of getting your fathers good and bad traits.
LMAO![]()

In the original mod, these guys are all related and are all on the family tree.
What do I have to do to add these guys to the family tree along with Libius?

Hi Sardaukar One
Wrote on your post accidentally sorry
Historically they were not related and its a major glare in the game to have them related. Before I figured out alternative family trees I had them in them in as relatives for it was the only way to have them in the game...If I did not put them in as relatives prior to alternative family trees the game created clone portraits and thus ctd.
You will have to modify the descr_strat file to do that. A good place to increase ur ability to mod .![]()

are there any mirrors cause my net is bugged and when I download from filefront it simply doesn't download
Speaking family trees. How do ensure that traits and titles are passed down to the faction heir?
Thanks
You gotta go to the character trait file in the data folder.
You need to look for the section that says "like dad" or something similar.
Just adjust the chance of the son getting his dads character traits. It should be under the triggers section. The first section tells you what the traits do, the second section, the triggers section, tells you the chances of these traits happening including getting traits from the fathers of family members.
Of course, this applies to the bad traits too.
Typically I mod down the chances of getting four traits. Anger, insanity, drink and minion.
Experience has taught me that if I don't do this, about 70% of my family members will become vein bulging, blue paint bottom painting, Peter O'Toole on his birthday drinking Elton Johns.
Its too much really, so I mod these down significantly.
Corruption is another one to watch out for.
