    Gregg withdraws Commerce Secretary nomination

Yay, Obuma is so partisan even this guy cant work with him. A new tone in Washington indeed. Its the dem way or the highway. Obuma is turning out to be quite a liar. There is only one America and thats his.

Reporting from Washington and Los Angeles -- Citing "irresolvable differences" on economic issues, Sen. Judd Gregg announced today that he is withdrawing his nomination as Commerce secretary.

Gregg is the third nominee to drop out of President's Obama's Cabinet before being confirmed.

"We are functioning from a different set of views on many critical items of policy," Gregg said in the statement released by his Senate office.

And this surprise you? Of course he's gonna have a liberal agenda... he's a democrat

At least he offered him the position. That's more bi-partisanship than we have seen in any recent Republican administration.

Obama's certainly having a hard time finding reliable people to be on his cabinet. It's funny that probably all of the good ones are the ones that turned it down. The crooks were the ones who got accepted. Not saying that Gregg is good, just he at least pays his taxes.

Commerce Secretary sounds like a pretty important job right now.

He's missing the chance of a lifetime, to be part of history, to influence it lots more than 1/100 can. Oh well, his loss.

Clearly he felt he *wouldnt* be able to influence things given the difference of views between him and Obama.

Really? I clearly see back room arm twisting and politics.

I am interested in the administration's plans for the 2010 census that seam to have blown the nomination out of the water. Does this sound like we are heading back the the Democrat position of guessing rather than enumerating the population?

It is completely honorable to withdraw his name if his differences of opinion with Pres. Obama means he cannot perform his duties and properly represent the administration. I wonder how much of the initial interview process allowed the candidate ask questions of the administration or was this a pure vetting process? Sounds more and more like the word 'team' is not being used. If so, this will be a rocky 4 years.

    It's the Republicans' loss.
