    we release a 4th patch of the public alpha in the near future.
    those new units will be most likely be part of a bigger update.

    Exactly ... Inorder to gain time _tartaros_ works in the mod's scripts and other issues and I work in an oldest data to implement all necessary units.
    When this will end my finall unit pack including:
    models
    textures
    portraits
    UI catds (both kinds)
    Recruitment system (finall) I will sent it to him to make the finall stand.
    Then a campaugn will start and Koultouras and I will make the finall stats.
    I will keep you informed reguraly.
    Now I will try to separate artilery units per culture and faction to replace once and for all the last vanilla units.

    some interesting news for you, currently working on the 1000th years campaign and for the first time got it running in campaign.
    here´s a first look at the starting situation:


    still need to add some characters to let normans, pechenegs, fatimids, kalbids and venice show up proper (they instantly die because of missing famaily members, but thats easily added), but this campaign will bring you new factions like normans, pechenegs or fatimids to play with, that are partly unplayable in the main campaign. other factions like the hre and fatimids (optional choose in maincampaign for aghlabids!) need a long campaign to be reached.

    On a side note, I believe my model of a kite shield is better than the one you have.
    Yours seems like it is a little concave at the top, becoming increasingly concave at it's low end.
    I believe kite shields were flatter at the bottom and more concave at the top.

    Taking a brake of making warriors models I desided to change MARKA Rus settlements that have 4100 kb size each and may cause random CTDs with TGC's known style (steppe have to be made last).
    Here is how a Rus city (stone walls) looks like.

    In the center the Lord's house of warriors gathering and by its side the pilars of their pagan Gods. No two store houses but humble wooden ones.

    Its the next step to see the vanilla texture size for each strat_map model of characters and create the models and textures and upload them to anyone who knows how to make them work.
    So far:
    Croatia
    Normans
    Lombards
    East Frankia
    Ottonian Germans
    Magyars
    Pechenegs
    Turkomans
    Rus
    have all characters exept Diplomats but diplomats will be military men carrying scrolls instead of swords.
    Romans have generals and captains because i was expecting Leif Erikson to create Emperor and Heir but he disapeared few years ago without any warning.
    Now I am done with strat_map models of Rus settlements i will create the steppe ones to finish them all.
    Next i will finish Venetians and Pope and re-create the Lombard Kings and Heir.
