Custom units?

How can I make customized units? Even just for custom battles.
I don't know how to edit models, but even just statistic changes (attack, defense, hit points, number of soldiers in a unit, faction, etc.)

Basically I'm trying to make a video, but have to be able to make individual soldiers not in a group.
Also, is there a way to disable the huge flags over units' heads and the green arrows under their feet?

Is there a mod that would help me with this?

Any helpful information would be appreciated.

change the Banner = 1 to a 0 in the your_mod.cfg file in data, this will disable all banners in battle map

there are posts in the scripting forum to change statistics for each unit etc..will post here later as i am at work!

Thanks for the info. I looked at the link, but didn't notice anything on the matter quite so basic for me to understand, but I'll keep looking.
