M2TW Freezes after 30 mins of gameplay

Running windows xp sp 3

No mods installed. Kingdoms installed. Playing Vanilla M2TW during a campaign will freeze my computer after about 30-45 minutes of gameplay. My keyboard no longer responds so I can't alt+tab out or ctrl+alt+del. I am forced to restart the computer.

No error window comes up and I see no error logs.

Something else that might be related is when I try to load a game it goes to the loading screen, then right back to the menu. I had to restart my campaign again.

Sounds like heat. What kind of a machine do you have?

In this case you should exit completely and then check the log, something will be there that might give us a clue.
