Going to have to really look into this one. The 'Great Informative Thread' is.. fairly informative, more so by the compilation of other users guides as well. From what I remember it went fairly unchanged for quite some time, and he consistently preached it every time a Citizenship question came up in the Q&S.
There's no doubt he wants to help and be a Citizen, but he hasn't gone about it the best of ways. I won't hold that against him if the contributions are there, but I do wonder about the assertions of E:TW guides being produced, since as I stated from when I looked at his guide thread during Q&S discussions it went largely unchanged since 06/07.
Will have to look into it more...

I find his ambition to be a citizen to be a bit over the top, but he seems keen to contribute. A yes from me.
The Imperial House Of The Wolf
Son of WBK/Anagennese.
The second generation of The Imperial Household: Sulla, Scrappy Jenks, eldaran, Oldgamer, Ecthelion, Kagemusha, Muizer, Battle Knight and Asterix
Father of Zuwxiv, Borsook, PyrrhusIV, and Aristocrat formerly bestowing patronage upon Omnipotent-Q
Good contributions. A yes.
Err, no. Insufficient contributions, questionable attitude.
The AAR's he says he helped with cannot really be considered a contribution, as they were written by other authors, and the amount of "helping" he actually did cannot be verified.
Now, on his "Great Informative Thread", I certainly consider it a contribution, a good one, but it doesn't seem to be enough, also considering the fact that it focuses on specific parts of the game, vassals for example, while leaving out other important parts of the game. It also isn't that well written, as there are plenty of grammatical errors.
He also regularly tries to help people out with their in-game problems, and while that is commendable, and a good contribution, the way he advertises his thread and links to it all the time, even consistently asking for rep in return when he helps someone leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
Now, on his attitude, he has been pursuing citizenship, and in progress, moderatorship, as can be seen by his paragraph, many times, PMing people (including me) asking for patronage. quite persistently. When Senior Staff refused to patronise him, he reacted quite badly, opening a thread to publicly whine. He also exhibited inappropriate behaviour, in the extent that GED had to moderate him, from this post and onwards.
I will repeat what I've told him a thousand times. He should try to limit spamming, work on his attitude a bit, try to join a branch of content staff, or try to write some more, better gaming guides, as he appears to be a good MTW2 player, with a lot of knowledge on the game. But in my opinion, conferring citizenship at this point would be a grave error.
I said I'd give it my consideration and I have, went through all of the parts of his guide, looked into the M2TW GD posts, and just tried to look at it in general without considering the poor way he has gone about the process.
With the guide, it's helpful, but it isn't anything extraordinary. If it was going to be the sole focus of patronization, it would need to be on par with frostbeastegg's guides, and it falls far short. The guide is split into 18 segments as of this time:
- 7/18 are not written by Rebel6666
- 1/18 looks to be empty due to formatting reasons
- 3/18 are freely available information (How to Unlock all Factions, two guild parts: A Guide to Guilds)
- 2/18 are borrowed in that they are just descriptions of mods with links
- 5/18 which comprises the rest of them, look more like extended discussion posts in a topic than they do a comprehensive guide
All in all, the guide is only a guide by virtue of having so many things in it. The individual parts are not that impressive, and as Soulghast points out, the formatting needs work. I won't rescind my statement issued before about it not changing when I last looked, but I will say positively that since the Q&S thread, it has received quite a few updates.
With the AARs, I don't really consider advising another user a contribution. If it was an AAR that drew a bunch of people to the site that'd be one thing, but most AARs aren't, and certainly not the two linked to. And with Kingmaker, I'd consider being Local Moderator a contribution if there was a lot of unruly behavior to curtail or just a mass of activity to monitor. However compared to God Save the King! (29,500 posts) and You Are the Senate! (23,500 posts), which I'd probably consider, Kingmaker with only 329 posts(45 of which are Rebel's own posts) isn't even a dot on the activity map.
He can be a helpful guy some of the time, but this is also counteracted by attitude problems he has other times. All in all, he's a good member of the community, but not ready for Citizenship yet. If he comes back in a month or two with more quantifiable contributions, he'll receive my consideration once more for reaching that bar he's pining for.
But for right now, with the current resume, it's a no from me.

I agree with Soulghast anyone who reacts to good advice by going to the forums and whining is not worthy of citizenship in my mind. If he went into content staff or wrote more guides then he would get in for sure. But as it stands he shows a poor attitude I should know I am similar to him I got rejected for citizenship instead of whining like him I became a member of content staff and then became a citizen all he has to do is the same.
Soulghast has summed up my opinion, especially the whining last time. If you check Hookers and Blackjack, there's a thread about him there, I think.
