How many of you folks save alot and refight battles if lost or just carry forth till the end no matter what happens? Seems more like a story if I don't go back after a bad defeat, but it can get hard without saves.

Even if I lose 2000 men and their captain I don't care (no reload).
But if I lose my general and 60 men then i'm pissed off!

Sadly, I save. Though there a few exceptions. It's like when dealing with a settlement. If it annoyed you then you happily press the exterminate button. If you had an enjoyable siege with a capable foe you might be lenient. If I fight a huge battle like stack on stack and I lose then i'll probably carry on because I think a decisive defeat in the field is more acceptable then losing that lightly guarded extremely important settlement.
Saving is for the weak!!!! I do it every now and again when I make a huge decision that would effect the outcome drastically.
Build a man a fire to keep him warm for a night, set a
man on fire and keep him warm for the rest of his life.
I only save when the computer plays battles. If the computer loses battles that it should win (3:2 or better), or it wins battles that it should lose (1:2 or worse) then I reload and fight it myself.
I save a lot in case of bugs, but only reload for bugs or for autoresolveing mess ups.
I save before my huge battles but more often than not I just keep playing no matter the outcome. I also save before the battles that are shaping up to be really fun so I can play them again when ever I chose. Like in the following battle I wasn't sure if I could win it and he was one of my greatest generals (at the time, it was like turn 4) so I saved before but alas there was no need.

Nothing wrong with reloading anything, it's been part of PC gaming since practically the dawn of time.
I tend to save only when I'm done playing. I haven't had the game CTD or anything despite having a bajillion mods.
I have reloaded before, a long time ago, but I do not currently reload due to a lost battle etc.
I save before any battle in mountains/bridges/weird looking terrain. Every once in a while these battles terrain are just so buggy the game isn't playable.

Never save and reload. Only save when I exit the game for the day/night.
I save during critical battles.
lol
Since this is the MOST realistic game I have ever played, I TRY to play it like it is real. This means no save/re-do"s.
I do re-load the auto save however, if something happens like - I wanted to place somone in a city and he ended up just outside and has no more movement points.

I save every 45 seconds or so in case I want to reload, but in the end I never really do it, though it's an effective way of minimizing loss if the game crashes or if power goes off
Every 45 seconds? Damn, you must have some patience. If you're that afraid the power will go off maybe you need to move.![]()
I have to save all the time, srsly
My laptop is somewhat unpredictable, i have left many a game to make a cup-o-tea and some toast and returned to a completely grey and white screen (like in The Ring)
As for re-loading if i lose, no never, might as well cheat it eliminates all the challenge does it not?

Sounds like you are using the wrong mods.![]()
Get a nice stable one. You can't go wrong. Personally, I won't use a mod that is not stable. It defeats the purpose of installing the mod in the first place. What good is improving the game if you are unable to play it?
