Barendz - follow the installation orders - there is no problem if put in correct folder.
Loet66 - Thanks for Art*patch praise.Surely you love the DLV scripting and game structure. Try Taiji's battle balance and Agis' various graphical improvement projects too.
Everyone - keep up the DLV addiction. Ignore the whinnning and bleating of all heretics (and partners) who do not play and thus have no understanding of the addiction... LOL

Tokus, are your great pics also designed for the DLV beta 3?

Pretty well all the events will get souped up with current beta_02 art*patcher yes.

As for latest beta? I've just installed Repman's fine beta_03 an' will check the master game files to see what placeholder new event images he is using (if any) before I add the Tokus special process (new from Tokus Labs Inc.) and issue a stiff new beta_03 art*patcher edict download thing just before the next official DLV version makes us all restart our campaigns again, lol.

Congrats on getting your new stuff in. Not like it was ever in doubt.

I believe they've pulled it - awaiting me to update. I don't know how much or this Repman used for 6.1... When I do another fresh install then I can figure out what's diffrent/changed. I have a lot on in real life at the mo' and look forward to revamping all the faction symbols & tweaking the event pics further. The 6.1 build wiped out many of my faction symbols on the strat map so I've been working on putting them back in with my next release. Also, someone in 6.1 altered the Lith faction banner from green to red - GASP! huge crime innit :o) ?!!!

    Later you crazt DLVers!

Repman doesn't want things from SS.... Agistournas has already do this.

yea he made it clear in a pm no SS as DLV minimod. i play SS from time to time though to try out the RR/RC betas and SS has some pretty cool looking battle map models for units as well as UI cards. I mean i still havent heard back from SS but i had thought some might like a change in pace from the Vanilla-style units and UI cards in DLV.

I had started a project like the one you suggest some time ago [check my sign], but as a respect to repman's wish for not including SS things in DLV, I abandoned it.
You can download it to get an idea how it works and then make something like this by yourself - BUT only for your personal use.

    EDIT:
    Sorry for the off-topic discussion...
Let's get back to praising Tokus for his excellent work.

My two tons of praise shall be exposed here, too. I can report no problems.

Cheers Missu - good to see your DLV addiction has firmed up and you're takin' your DLV doses regular... I'm watchnig for the 6.2 build by Repamn so I can fresh install and see what need art*patchin' (or stuff in the patcher not in offical release). I'm still busy in my real life stuff but itching to revamp the faction symbols and tweak things a little more.

After reading all the great ravs about your mini mod I'd love to dl it and give it a whirl. However your link at the top of this thread takes me to file front and there is nothing there to download, its very weird. Bad or broken link? http://hosted.filefront.com/TokusMaximus/ I am using firefox browser and I have windows vista 64 bit.

    Hi Morty,

I'm holding off until 6.2 is out - then I can do a fresh install and see what needs in the new art*patcher. I'll take that link down. thanks for letting me know...

That's all sounds good but where is the file to download ?
I don't see any download link.

That's the point - I'm not putting the old one up until I see 6.2, reinstal my game and then see what gaps have to be fixed for any new artpatcher. There's quite a bit on the last artpatcher in 6.1 I believe.

    best,

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

    A TOKUS SIGHTING ?

The ground heaves, walls shake and the great lamps in the halls of Castle Tokus sputter into life to the deep sound of bellows, hammers and tongs from the dev Hell-pits under Castle Tokus. Has the veiled shadow returned to his dusty cobwebbed old DLV labs after his loooong sojourn in Muddle Earth? Has he paused briefly only to reinstall M2TW and Repman's all new 6.2 before starting work? Who can really tell (and who cares? - Ed). Tune in next time - DLVers - for more rumour and heresay regarding DLV's lesser seen art hack.

p.s. - really good links there Wille - good stuff there! Thank you. T*M
