    Default Muskeet trench tactic

I just love gunpowder weapons, but cavalry can rush them out easily, especially those pesky mongol generals, so as in Rome I used legionaries to shield my archers, here I used pikeman and arquebusiers (muskets are better) agains a general and works well agains any other melee unit. The general was stopped by the pikes while the arquebusiers continually fired at them. I used this against my neighbor (was with France) and he was humiliated. I recommend.

Only problem is that any rifle unit needs a clear line of sight to their target, so if your on flattish ground your musketeers can't fire over your pikemen. Works great if your on a hill, but not if the land is flat.

Musketeers shielded by pikes; a classic tactic. It works even better with Adventuros and Portuguese Arquebusiers(who are decent at melee). I don't think there's any unit capable of breaking my Portuguese Tercio formation. The only thing they need fear is artillery; they'll get blown away quickly if you don't counter well.

Where are arquebruisers? I've never seen them outside of a mod. I was wondering where they went.

Wouldn't archers mess you up? Esp Longbowmen, mounted crossbowmen and cavalray archers? I mean, don't Musketeers and Arquebusiers have the fire_by_rank which means if one dies they start to spazz out and keep shuffling around 'till you re-deploy them?

Most factions have them. Only some factions have Musketeers.

You can mod out the fire by rank command I believe. That should improve your gunners greatly.
