Because we live in a society that is raised to treat racism like withcraft, everyone equates being openly critical of racism as being synonomous with 100% morality.
Although i think disliking racism is a moral thing, I don't think it's really the fundamentals of morality by a longshot.
Anyway, my point is that we live in a society of political correctness.
For example, if a white person says "You're Indian" to somebody from India, that is racist.
If someone from any part of the world other than England says "You're all evil because you're white" that is not racist.
Which irritates me purely because i hate double standards in society.
So yeah, basically, everyone jumps on the anti-racism bandwagon.
Anyone who does anything that can possibly be construed as racist gets leapt on because people feel that, if they don't do that, they'll be seen as racist too (and thus everyone will leap on them).
Of course, the Anglican church is correct to put restrictions on BNP members being part of the clergy because the views of the BNP party are VERY different from those of the Anglican church.
(plus the BNP are quite evil).
So yeah, all this stuff happening lately is to do with public pressure put on the government, rather than government pressure put onto the public.
It's hard to explain to someone without the context of having grown up here, so this probably makes less than no sense (sorry)
