Came back, need help

Just recently came back to this wonderful game. I wanted to play SS again. But for some reason now I cant. I have 6.0 and the patch to 6.1 and 6.2. When I chose the early era campaign, and my kingdom, press start, it goes back to the select era screen again, rinse and repeat. The game never loads.

Try reinstalling SS again but this time dont install 6.2. Make sure that it works with 6.1 first.

Are you sure you installed the files to correct directory? I had the same problem, but fixed it when I moved the installed files to correct directory. Works fine now.

Edit: I mean the files from 6.2 install.
