Why I want to be a citizen and why I think I'm worthy:

Of all fora I have paid my visits to in The Net, the Total War Center is the one where I spend most my time regarding any kind of community activity. If I had the choice of holding a title anywhere, this is where I would want to.
Even most of the teens that can be found among the members of this forum are more mature than some 90 years olds on other similar platforms. A rare thing to find on The Net nowadays.
Sure, every now and then I read the occasional post in which someone complains about a place like, for example, the Political Mudpit being too much of a mudpit instead of a place of sophisticated discussion. Some of the topics do indeed seem to invite those inclined to constantly try to press their partly as much as extremist views on others. Yet, I fail to see what is so hard about keeping your own tone as calm as ever and also sticking to a topic.
There is a saying in Germany (and I'm sure it exists in other countries, too): "He who yells is wrong."

I may not be the most regular of posters around, but I try my best to make reading my posts as worthwhile as possible (besides the occasional one-liner in the Thema Devia, of course), which includes reducing redundancy. If a valid point others made before me over and over again that is constantly ignored, ridiculed or even insulted by the holders of other views, there is no point in trying myself. The result of doing so would most probably be a downward spiral, even if I tried my best to keep my tone as friendly as possible for a human being.

And, indeed, that's all we are, after all: Human beings. Human beings lose their nerves sometimes, human beings do sometimes have iron-cast stances on things, be it through experience or education, if not even indoctrination.
Reminding yourself of that helps avoiding becoming a thorn in the side of a community.

Reminding myself of that shall also help me satisfy the responsibility of holding the title of Citizenship as a representative of this great community.

    Thanatos
Ketzerfreund is a stellar example of the high status all posters here at TWC should emulate. Calm and collected, Ketzerfreund has shown himself, time and again, that he is not only a great debater, but an incredible positive influence to the D&D section, if not to TWC as a whole, in his own quiet way.

He has been around for a while, and though not as often in the public spotlight as other posters may be, he nevertheless has established himself a cut above a good majority. I know that after patronization, he will continue to act in this laudable manner. I am therefore proud to offer Ketzerfreund up for citizenship.

    Thank you for your time,
    Thanatos

He is a nice guy, but he doesn't have any real contributions. His posts are good, but nothing that blows me away.

I think it would have served him better if he had linked to some of the posts or discussions he felt he really contributed in, since he seems to be running on a platform of discussion merit alone. I went through about 3 pages of his posts(so like... 90ish?) and while he carries himself fairly well, I didn't see anything particularly profound.

I'm going to abstain on this one, since his resume isn't enough to convince me either way.

Generally if you don't find anything that you don't think should confer citizenship, I would say that would completely justify a no vote.

Some of his meatier posts, in the DD:

While a certain degree of quality is evident by his posting, I don't think it is good enough to confer citizenship on its own. The bulk of his posts seem to be in the Thema Devia, the Circus Maximus and the ETW Section where he has started making plans about 2 modding projects.

If he manages to get these off the ground, improve his posting, or joins a branch of staff, I'll be more than willing to vote yes. But for now, no.

No for the same reasons as the posters above there is nothing wrong with him per se its just that he has not done enough to warrent the rank.

He is alright, he is a solid poster, who has a few better moments at times. He doesn't really push me though. I think he could easily be a citizen if he really turns the corner into a truly special poster, or finds something contribution wise to compliment his posting, which already put him very close.

I initially abstained because I wasn't swayed either way, but after reviewing the candidate a second time, I'm just not seeing citizen material, so it's an appended no from me as well.

I can't find a nice string of posts that definitively sway me to vote yes, but were he to join content staff or something....I would vote yes, if of course the wowrk was up to scrathc.
