Default Palestinian Authority slams Hamas for inappropiate use of infrastructure

    http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au...3-2703,00.html

    This section here:

This division was shown at the weekend when the Palestinian Authority, run by Fatah, accused rival faction Hamas, which runs Gaza, of using hospitals in the Strip for "torture and detention" during the conflict with Israel.

A statement released by the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Health in Ramallah said: "Hamas unfortunately used several facilities, mainly a large number of hospitals, as stations for summons, interrogation, torture and detention."

Now, this is not the Israelis saying it, it is the PA.

I don't know what to make of this though.

Hamas would be in character doing this kind of stuff.

But, the PA has a massive axe to grind.

Right, like adding MORE bloodshed to the region is going to help things.

I really dont think Israel would mine a little muslim on muslim action here.
It's not in Israel's best interest to see this happen. A civil war amongst the two Palestinian rival governments will only make things more instable and let radicals on both sides of the strife blame Israel for the whole thing.

The Isrealis would love for Fatah to retake the Gaza deposing Hamas, so do hundreds of Palestinians.

Israel could help Fatah by bombing these hospitals from 3 miles up in the air. As well as all inappropriately used infrastructure. Hell, if they aint gonna use it right, they gonna lose it aight.

Old. The PLO and Fatah have been trying to get Hamas out of Gaza for years.

The Isrealis would love for Fatah to retake the Gaza deposing Hamas, so do hundreds of Palestinians.
The main problem with this is that Israel kills a lot of Palestinians, only causing more support for Hamas and Fatah's main way of trying to get Hamas out is through for example doctor or cleaner strikes. And that isn't effective either, because they demonize themselves whilst Hamas members often then take the place of the Fatah doctors and cleaners.

If one knows anything about the PA and, this statement against HAMAS is hilarious.

I see Fatah Invasion of Gaza soon....
Ah, me thinks you have forgotten just how badly Fateh was routed in Gaza during the violence of June 07.

Some would say Iraq was a democratic government under Saddam, who just barely squeeked to a narrow victory of 100% before his overthrow.

Perhaps its time there is another election in Gaza. This one supervised by a neutral party, like the UN?

Hm, did you really just compare elections in Gaza with 'elections' in Iraq? Really? I mean, roy made an excellent counterpoint above you, and then you go an ruin this with -- what is it, an attempt at sarcasm or just a blind hope that I don't know the difference?

Well i think that if hamas loses an election its just going to kill every fatah member that gets in its way.
Possibly. But we won't know until the next round of elections, which I agree should come soon.

I'm afraid not. Israel wants a genocide of innocent Palestinian women me and children, rapes and such abound.

Hamas was elected democratically to hold seats in the PLO, but then led a coup and took Gaza by force, remember Hamas was not elected to rule Gaza.

After the recent war or massacre depending on your level of bias, Hamas began executing Fateh loyalist and palestinians who were accused of calling in Hamas positions to Israeli leaders. Hamas immediately began calling Fateh puppets of Israeli and collaboraters and calling for the overthrow of the PLO in the WestBank.
