Not sure, I gave that comment after looking at this map.
It clearly shows that there was a mountain behind Pompey, so Pompey might actually occupy higher ground than Caesar.
The Battle was fought in a plain between hills and the Enipeus river.
Ive never heard of a forest and a hidden cavalry.
Pompey was on a hill with a river protecting his right flank, Caesar was on a plain in front of him i don't think there was a forest
