so today i was adding to my guide and i relized i hadnt worked out what the "combat bonus" thing was about So i checked descr_unit:
; stat_ground Combat modifiers on different ground types. From left to right
; scrub, sand, forest, snow
Well that makes sense becaue barbarian peasants who live in forested areas and are used to harsh terrian but have never been to the deasert have:
stat_ground 2, -2, 3, 2
Thats 2 in scrub and -2 in sand 3 in forests and 2 in snow
desert peasants like egyptian peasants have:
stat_ground 2, 2, -2, -2
which makes sense since they are from the desert.
Cataphracts a cavalry unit have
stat_ground 0, 1, -6, -1
So they suck in woods which they also did in mtw1, but oddly even tho they have tons of armor they get a small bonus in snow.
camels have
stat_ground 0, 2,-6,-2
since they are from the desert.
What I want to know is what do those modifiers mean? Is it extra attack or extra defence? or both or more morale?
Thanks.
