Default Changing City Name's (from ingame)

I found this out its pretty fun to mess around with

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    In your preferences.txt file

    Change from false to true

Go in game and open up the construction/recruitment view and double click the name of the city a line should appear next to it

Change it to what ever you like

Note: Cheats do work with the changed city names if you are intending to use them, this dosent change the city name permanently just the saved or current game you are playing.

Wow i use to do this as an immature way of building empires years ago i forgot completely about it as i never really look at preferences when modding. I thought it was a dream we could do that...

For some reason the process_cq cheat wouldn't work on this one city.. Tribus_Quiddi I think, in BI. So I changed it to Quadium or some such and voila, it did.

Yeah sadly MED2 preferences arent so open as RTW is and wont have an effect. Rome total war is an unfinished game mod wise if you look through the files there are tons of cool features that just never made it it like the Advanced options and you can change if you want morale and all the stuff in game, the strat_ed witch says to use -strat_ed but dosent work caesar in gaul campaign historical campaigns and slot.

Sunday, you can choose to turn off morale, fatigue, and limited ammo at the beginning of a campaign. This is called Arcade style, and is I think described in the manual.
