So I'm England and I'm chillin with almost my whole land in Europe (having destroyed france Im about to move into Milanese turf and Spain but I am also holding Jerusalem. Then the Mogols come and they decide to hole up at Antioch. I then proceed to send them a diplomat and start relations with them. A few turns later I say HEY I'll give you MAP INFORMATION if you give me MAP INFORMATION. They reply with a counteroffer : WE WILL GIVE YOU 3500$$$. I thank them for theyr generosity and accept. I then try to get some map info out of the pope givinng them a balanced deal of map info for map info. They also refuse but toss me cash. So I get interested in where the mogls are expanding so I try again with them. The same result, they just give me cash... This has happened now 7 times as I want to make sure that it isn't a one or two time occurence. I then toss the cash off, I've secured a ceasefire with Egypt for 15000, their Imams on my turf was frustrating but now they've left. anyway... Anyone else ran into this problem. What is the cause? Can I avoid it while getting the map info from the mongols, I donn't feel ike sending tons of spies all across the eastern half of the map.

And if you can't get it out of them, use the togge_fow cheat.

weird, i never get this... what mods are you using ? What version of Med2 ?

I get it in Vanilla a lot, but never 3500 florins. More like 112 florins...

I was playing an old save game in vanilla.

As to the amount, maybe its cause to the mongols whose wealth is Boundless, 3500 isn't much where as the real factions dont have that kind of cash. For example, from the pope they only tossed me 1700 and I'd been gifting them 50 a turn for 107 turns.
