So here's this film that's supposed to be playing tomorrow night at the University and I'm invited to it.

I did some research. Very interesting.

Based off the book by John Perkins regarding his life as someone who took part in illegal covert activities on the part of the American government to extend imperialist control and maintain the assertion of something like "Providence" through propaganda.

Never mind that his work was featured in Zeitgeist: Addendum. It correlates heavily with the strategic journalists and historians.

Well, that's the point. He was in clandestine, covert operations. Obviously, they aren't going to tape record their actions and videotape their every dastardly move here. If anything, your going to have to take his word for it. And really, who would admit to these types of activities? Only a psychotic would, and that this man evidently is not.

I disagree, a man who would admit to this stuff can gain alot of money from books and even movies. It may be true...but I doubt it. If it was true and he did all this for the US he would have disappeared long ago.

Why would he "betray" the government then? Wouldn't he be proven wrong, refuted openly, and denounced as an untrustworthy, malicious traitor to the american cause?

There is a section of the CIA wholly devoted to actually making up conspiracy theories and disseminating them, so as to cast doubt on all theories.

Hes a hypocrite, but at least has seen the light, if all he says he was involved in, is true.

They cant kill public figures like he has become one after publishing. Following Perkins story-line there also must be many more "retired" EH´s running around who worked for different companys. And what can one mans word change.
