They allied with England and learned to play chess, they think if they play their armies like they do in chess, they will win. I think it's pretty obvious what's going on.

Looks like cuman desperation in the face of Mongol persecution. Or in other words a glitch? Cuman with a decent stack of horse archers are a force to be reckoned with, single stacks on the other hand eeeehhh?

Im approaching middle of my cuman campaign and they are just as good or better then mongols (due to larger roster). THe AI must be trippen or are in financial ruin (doubt it).
